Australian Gambling’s 2014 AFL Season Predictions

The 2014 AFL Premiership Season has arrived, so the time has come for the team at AustralianGambling to gather their thoughts, look into the crystal ball and put forward some bold predictions on what lies ahead.

A couple of things to note:

  • Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley doesn’t exactly get a strike confidence or respect with the AustralianGambling staff. Among those who thought a coach would get the boot this season, ‘Bucks’ is the favourite to lose his job first. Three out of seven tipsters have also predicted Collingwood will break an eight-year run of finals appearances and miss out on the top eight entirely in 2014.
  • The inclusion of former Hawthorn superstar Lance Franklin has put Sydney right back into premiership calculations. All seven tipsters either have Sydney as premiers or runners up this season.
  • Poor old Greater Western Sydney are the favourites for the wooden spoon. Could be another long year for the competition’s youngest team.
