There are now only four teams left to fight out the AFL premiership. The winner of each of these two matches will advance through to the 2013 Grand Final. Hawthorn and Fremantle come into these matches rested and refreshed, whilst Sydney and Geelong will be backing up from tough semi-final matches.
A brief preview of each match is provided below. Further detailed previews will be provided for both.
7:50pm, Friday 20 September 2013 at the MCG
Hawthorn has had the week off to rest and freshen up for this all important match with Geelong.
Geelong took some time to get their skates on Friday night against Port Adelaide after the Power led at half time. The Cats were eventual 16 point winners, but they need to be much better this week. The Hawks are really expected to turn the screws on Geelong in this match and are favourites to be the first team to enter the Grand Final.
Premiership / Outrights
Hawthorn are the favourites to win the 2013 AFL premiership at current odds of $2.10 with IASbet.com. After being favourites just over a fortnight ago, Geelong has now slipped to the third line of betting at $4.50.

The only game of the 2013 Home and Away season which ended all square was an enthralling and brutal contest between these two sides at the SCG.
Courageous in victory last week, the Swans overcame the injuries of forwards Kurt Tippett and Tom Mitchell, who have both been ruled out of this week’s preliminary final. It will be no easy feat for the reigning premiers to travel to Perth and tackle a Fremantle side well rested from its intense win over Geelong in week one.
Fremantle are favourites to join either the Hawks or Cats in the grand final.
Premiership / Outrights
Fremantle are the second favourites to win the flag at $3.25 with IASbet.com, whilst Sydney have blown out in premiership betting, now paying $8.50.
