Crows Continue To Get Crunched in 2012 AFL NAB Cup Betting

Fri, Mar 9, 5:52pm by Kevin Pitstock

The Adelaide Crows continue to be the punters choice in the NAB Cup, moving to equal $2.75 favourites to win the pre-season premiership with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.

Priced at $34 when the market first opened, the Crows have been well backed by the punters throughout the week.

Regardless of Adelaide’s movement, it is the West Coast Eagles, also favourites at $2.75, who look the goods according to the punters, with more bets placed on them to win than any other team.

The Crows and Eagles will have their chance to secure a spot in the Grand Final when they both play at home this weekend, with the Crows $1.75 favourites to beat Collingwood at $2.05 on Friday night.

The Eagles are seen as even more of a good thing, priced at $1.45 to beat St Kilda ($2.72).

“Adelaide have continued to firm each week and the punters now seem certain that their good form isn’t a flash in the pan, they are a genuine chance,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.

“If they do win it will be interesting to see if punters think their form can carry over into the regular season.”
