Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers Preview:
Date/Time: Tuesday April 12th, 2011 / 4:05am AEST
Where: Comerica Park, Detroit MI.
The Detroit Tigers will host the defending American League Champions on Tuesday morning. The Tigers have started the season with a 3-5 record coming into Monday’s action. Detroit is looking to get the offense going, led by Miguel Cabrera, who many felt could win a MVP award this season. The Rangers have been red-hot to start the season, winning seven of their first eight. Josh Hamilton continues to sit in the middle of the Rangers lineup; which has scored 55 runs, and allowed just 26. This game features Justin Verlander as the starting pitcher for Detroit, against the Rangers youngster Alexi Ogando. We like the veteran Verlander quite a bit in this game. We are taking the Detroit Tigers 1.71. This is one we are most confident on for Monday!
Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays Preview:
Date/Time: Tuesday April 12th, 2011 / 10:10am AEST
Where: Fenway Park, Boston MA.
A pair of American League East rivals will get together at the historic Fenway Park on Tuesday morning. The Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays have both struggled to start the season. The Red Sox and Rays; along with the Yankees are the favorites to compete at the top of the division. The Red Sox are predicted to have one of the top offenses in the league; led by new comer Adrian Gonzalez and former MVP Dustin Pedroia. Boston has been out scored 53-29 on the season. Tampa Bay’s offense has been just atrocious on the season. The Rays have scored just 19 runs in 8 games on the season. Tampa Bay has lost all five of their games played at home to start the year. We really like Dice K and the Boston Red Sox to win this game. He is taking on an unprove youngster in Hellickson. We are betting Boston Red Sox 1.66 over Tampa Bay Rays.
San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Preview:
Date/Time: Tuesday April 12th, 2011 / 1:15pm AEST
Where: AT+T Park, San Francisco, CA.
Two West coast teams will get together by the bay on Tuesday afternoon. The San Francisco Giants will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants have won four of their first eight games coming into Monday’s action. The Giants have won their first two home games; both in come from behind fashion over St. Louis. The defending World Series champions have scored 26 runs and allowed 26 on the season. The Dodgers are 5-3 to begin the season. Los Angeles has been pleased with their bullpen work; as they have been out scored 31-26 on the season, but close games have been nailed down by the late game guys. Clayton Kershaw is taking on Madison Bumgartner. We are surprised the Dodgers are the underdog. We like Los Angeles quite a bit in this game. We are betting Los Angeles 252.
