The Major League Baseball season continues to show some excellent games day in and day out. We are excited to give you some great bets for the action on April 19th, 2011:
New York Yankees 2.02 over Toronto Blue Jays
The Yankees and Blue Jays will get together in a big AL East battle. The Yankees have been solid so far this season; starting 9-5. Toronto is 7-9 on the season, but have won four of six games at home. New York is sending veteran right hander A.J. Burnett to the mound. Burnett has been red-hot to start the season; winning all three of his starts. Burnett has beat the Tigers, Twins and Orioles, and thrown 17.1 innings. For Toronto, Kyle Drabek will get the start. Drabek is 1-0 in three games started this season. In his career, Drabek holds a 1-3 record in six starts. We predict the New York Yankees will tee off on Drabek, and Burnett will continue his solid pitching. We are shocked the Yankees are underdogs in this game. We love the New York Yankees 2.02 in this game! Bet the Yankees at Sportsbet!
San Diego Padres 2.06 over Chicago Cubs
The San Diego Padres will continue their attempt to get back above .500 as they play the second game of a series at Wrigley Field. San Diego was able to down Houston on Sunday to move to 7-8 on the season. The Padres have scored exactly 54 runs, and allowed 54 thus far on the season. San Diego will send Dustin Moseley to the mound. Moseley has lost all three of his starts on the season; to St. Louis, Los Angeles and Houston. In those three starts, Moseley has thrown 19.2 innings and allowed 19 hits, but just 4 earned runs. For the Cubs, James Russell will make his second start of the season. Russell lost to Houston on April 12th. This game does not have a very good pitching match-up. In saying that, we are going to take the San Diego Padres 2.06 over the Chicago Cubs. You can find the Padres/Cubs and all MLB action at Sportingbet!
San Francisco Giants @ Colorado Rockies 1.42
In the National League West, the top two teams will go at it in Denver. The defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants have won seven of their last ten to move into second place. The Giants have scored 62 runs and allowed 56 on the season. San Francisco will send Jonathan Sanchez to the mound. The 28 year old is 1-1 on the season, with a 3.24 earned run average. The Rockies will get their second chance to see staff ace Ubaldo Jimenez pitch. The right hander missed his last two starts with a thumb injury. Jimenez is 50-36 in his career as a starting pitcher. We like Colorado at 1.42 over San Francisc. Bet at Centrebet and win!
Best of luck!
