Tampa Bay Rays at Chicago White Sox Preview
GAME: Tampa Bay Rays (0-5) at Chicago White Sox (3-2)
DATE/TIME: Friday, April 08 – 6:10 AM AEST
WHERE: U.S Cellular Field, Chicago, Illinois
The Rays send left-hander David Price, a 19 game winner in 2010, to the mound for his second start. He lost on Opening Day to Baltimore as he went seven innings and gave up four earned runs. Last year vs. the White Sox he went 0-2 and was hit hard by Alex Rios and Paul Konerko. The White Sox send right-hander Edwin Jackson for his second start of the season. He won his opener by going six innings against the Indians. The Rays have had trouble touching Price with their bats as they hit only .165 against him.
The White Sox have been on fire offensively with an 8 run per game average after 5 games. The hitting leader for the team is Carlos Quentin with is 1 home run and 7 RBI’s to go with a sizzling .545 batting average.
Tampa Bay ranks last in the major leagues in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage. Tampa Bay did rid themselves of some players but will be rebuilding around Price and BJ Upton in the 2011 season.
Our Pick: White Sox 1.92

The biggest stick for him to face is Ryan Braun who has amassed three home runs and 6 RBI’s with a .462 batting average against him. Marcum was pitching his first game for the Brewers as he was acquired from Toronto in the off-season. He pitched 4 2/3 innings with four hits, five walks and gave up four runs.
