The English League Cup has reached the quarter finals stage. With Arsenal and Manchester City already through to the semi-finals. Setting up the prospect of mouth-watering ties with Manchester United and Chelsea both involved in the remaining quarters.
Chelsea v Bournemouth, Thursday 21st December, 6.45am
Undoubtedly Chelsea are favourites heading into this match, although their previous run of form at this stage of the competition will be a concern. They have lost three of their last five quarter final appearances. Despite this they currently stand at $1.25 to beat Bournemouth. A feat that they achieved back in October courtesy of an Eden Hazard goal. With manager Antonio Conte likely to rotate his squad ahead of a busy Christmas period, the challenge may come in how well the players gel on the night.
Bournemouth will look to take advantage of the likely disrupted starting 11 for Chelsea. As they go in search of their first win over Chelsea since December 2015. Although once again with the festive fixture pile up, Bournemouth are also likely to experiment with their squad. The pressures of the EPL have dictated the need for clubs to rest players in the English League Cup. They are priced at $10.
Whilst a draw between the two sides stands at $5.50.

Bristol City v Manchester United, Thursday 21st December, 7am
The shock of the round could come from Championship side Bristol City as they take on current holders Manchester United. They will believe that they can overcome United at this knockout stage, especially at home. Although they face difficulties in terms of priorities, with a push for promotion to the EPL on the agenda as well as a cup run. Regardless of the divide in leagues, Bristol have still been given a chance against United priced at $6.50. Having already beaten three EPL sides en route to the quarters, United will be wary of the Robins.
As with most sides United will be expected to make a number of changes for this clash. Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be given the chance to redeem himself in the eyes of manager Jose Mourinho. With a big performance needed from the Armenian. He could well spearhead United to match their price of $1.40. With bigger fixtures to come United must be wary of a Bristol side looking to cause an upset.
Perhaps Bristol’s best hopes would be to force the game into extra time with a draw priced at $4.50. A penalty shootout would certainly give the Robins an excellent chance of beating the Red Devils.
