There is plenty of English Premier League action this weekend and it starts on Saturday night when Manchester United visit Bournemouth in the early kick-off.
Bournemouth versus Manchester United
Saturday, 3 November 2018 at 11:30pm at Vitality Stadium
Back-to-back wins are on the line for Manchester United for just the second time this season when they travel south to play Bournemouth.
The Red Devils are $1.95 favourites to win the match, the Bournemouth priced as $3.60 outsiders. The draw is paying $3.60.
This is the 15th time the two clubs have met, with United winning on nine occasions.
The Cherries have won this fixture twice, once in 1984 and once in 2015.
Both teams are in form, with Bournemouth crushing Fulham last weekend 3-0 at Craven Cottage.
United had a strong first half as it defeated Everton 2-1 at Old Trafford.
The Cherries have outscored every team outside the top four this season and have already amassed 20 points this campaign.
United will draw level with Bournemouth on points if they can beat the home side on Saturday night.
Manchester United’s last visit to Bournemouth was a fruitful one, winning 2-0 in April.
Goals to Chris Smalling and Romelu Lukaku sealed the result for the visitors on that occasion.
This is a different Bournemouth side to the one that played in April and they are unbeaten in six Premier League home games. That game against United was their last home loss.
This looks like a great chance for United to prove that they aren’t a spent force this season, but Bournemouth can certainly hold their own in this one.
Best bet- Bournemouth and Manchester United draw at $3.60
Arsenal versus Liverpool
Saturday, 4 November 2018 at 4:30am at Emirates Stadium
The match of the week takes place in London when Arsenal hosts Liverpool.
This game will have top four and potential title ramifications and is a marquee fixture for both clubs.
Liverpool will enter as $2 favourites to beat the Gunners, who are priced as $3.50 home underdogs. The draw is paying $3.60.
Arsenal is in a rich vein of form under new coach Unai Emery, winning 10 games in a row before last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace.
The Gunners won through to the last eight of the League Cup midweek, defeating Blackpool 2-1.
Liverpool is tied on points with Manchester City in second spot on the table and dispatched of Cardiff 4-1 last time out.
The Reds have a dominant recent record against Arsenal, with the Gunners winless in their past six Premier League matches against Liverpool.
Away games at the Emirates have proven tricky for Liverpool in the past, as they have won just two of their last 18 away league games against Arsenal, losing eight and drawing eight.
Those two wins have come in a recent patch of good form for the Reds, where they have won in three of their past six games against Arsenal.
This is the Premier League fixture that has historically produced the most goals per game, with the last five games between Arsenal and Liverpool averaging 5.4 goals per game.
The Gunners are undefeated in their past nine Premier League games and have scored at least two goals in each of those matches.
This match has goals written all over it and at $2, Liverpool is a tad short on the road. Their title rivals Manchester City beat Arsenal on the opening weekend, so the pressure is on the Reds to get three points here.
We are happy to take a chance on an in-form Arsenal team to grab at least a point.
Best bet- Arsenal draw no bet at $2.37
Huddersfield versus Fulham
Tuesday, 6 November 2018 at 7am at John Smiths Stadium
This is an early-season relegation six-pointer on Tuesday morning when Huddersfield hosts Fulham.
The Terriers are winless from 10 starts this season and are favourites to be relegated in their second season in the top flight.
Fulham’s return from the Championship has also been unspectacular, winning just one from 10 and being hammered in their past three Premier League fixtures.
It is Huddersfield who finds themselves as rare favourites in this match, priced at $2.20. Fulham is a $3.30 underdog with the draw priced at $3.30.
Tuesday morning’s match will be the first top flight meeting between the clubs since Fulham beat Huddersfield 1-0 in 1952 at Craven Cottage.
Their record against Huddersfield is good, with seven wins and four draws from their past 11 league matches against the Terriers.
Scoring goals has been the Terriers’ big issue this season and they have not scored a goal in any of their home fixtures.
Fulham has had a problem in conceding goals, leaking 28 goals, the most in the opening 10 games of a Premier League season.
This match is tricky to pick and how could you possibly back Huddersfield at $2.20 to win, when they seldom score. They are up against the league’s worst defence so if there was ever a time for them to get on the scoreboard, this would be it.
We suspect both sides will approach this one rather cautiously and would rather bank a point than none.
Best bet- Huddersfield and Fulham to draw at $3.30
