The Manchester Derby headlines an action packed weekend of Premier League action with Manchester City hosting Manchester United on Monday morning.
Huddersfield versus West Ham
Sunday, 11 November 2018 at 2am at John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield
Huddersfield finally scored a goal at home and won their first game of the season on Tuesday morning against Fulham.
They play a rare second home game in a week when they host West Ham on Sunday.
The Terriers are $3.30 home underdogs, with West Ham priced as $2.20 home favourites. The draw is paying $3.30.
West Ham beat Huddersfield twice last season and it was the only side the Hammers defeated both at home and on the road.
West Ham’s 4-1 away Premier League win at Huddersfield was only their fourth way win in all competitions against the Terriers and their first since 1969.
While West Ham can score goals they are also susceptible to conceding them and have kept just one clean sheet in their past 14 Premier League away games.
Huddersfield got the better of now bottom placed Fulham and their victory wasn’t all that convincing.
West Ham offers multiple attacking threats and will be a challenge for the Huddersfield back four to contain.
This fixture will have goals in it, but they will all be coming from the boot of West Ham players.
Best bet- West Ham to win at $2.20.
Newcastle versus Bournemouth
Sunday, 11 November 2018 at 2am at St James’ Park, Newcastle
Could last weekend’s 1-0 home win against Watford be the kick start Newcastle need to get their season going after almost a third of the season?
The Magpies are narrow underdogs at $2.70 to make it two wins in a row when they host Bournemouth on Sunday.
The Cherries are $2.60 road favourites, with the draw paying $3.25.
The two clubs have met twice at St James’ Park, with Bournemouth prevailing on both occasions.
Steve Cook scored a late winner for Bournemouth last season as they won 1-0 and in 2016 they were 3-1 winners.
The Cherries are hoping for a third consecutive away win in the Premier League and that would be their best road streak in the top flight. They lost won three away games in the Championship in 2014-15.
Callum Wilson found the score sheet for the Cherries against Manchester United and has scored the second most away goals in the Premier League this season with four and has been involved in 10 goals in 11 matches, scoring six and assisting four.
Newcastle are a tempting proposition to wager on given they are in decent form, at home and are underdogs against an overachieving team.
Take the Magpies in the draw no bet market or if you’re after a bigger price, back them to win.
Best bet- Newcastle to win at $2.70.
Manchester City versus Manchester United
Monday, 12 November 2018 at 3:30am at Etihad Stadium, Manchester
The Manchester Derby always brings out the best in Manchester City and Manchester United and the two clubs meet for the first time this season on Monday morning.
City go into this match as overwhelming favourites priced at $1.36 to win. Manchester United are $7.50 underdogs, with the draw paying $5.
Manchester City is coming off a 6-0 home win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Thursday.
United earned an upset 2-1 win at Juventus thanks to a late own goal and 86th minute score from Paul Pogba.
That win is undoubtedly the best of United’s season as they have regained form after a poor opening three months of the season.
Manchester City has struggled against United in recent times, winning just two of their past eight games against their rivals in all competitions.
Manchester United secured a 3-2 comeback win at City last season after trailing 2-0.
They are looking for back-to-back wins at Etihad Stadium for just the second time ever.
Manchester City is one the most prolific goal scoring teams seen in Premier League history, scoring 24+ goals after six home games, tying their own record from last season.
United’s defensive struggles have been well documented and they have conceded 18 goals in their 11 Premier League games this season. It took them 25 games to concede that many in Premier League player last season.
This match will be a lot closer than odds makers suggest and City are due to drop some points sooner or later.
Manchester United will lift for this game, despite returning from Juventus, but they will do so full of confidence after a win in Turin. Back the draw as it is definite overs in this one.
Best bet- Manchester City and Manchester United to draw at $5.
