The FA Cup 3rd Round lived up to its billing as the home of shocks, upsets and giantkillers. With a number of EPL sides names removed from the draw for the 4th Round.
Arsenal were the highest profile side who will no be taking no further part in the FA Cup. Arsene Wenger suffered his first 3rd Round defeat at the hands of Championship side Nottingham Forest. With last years holders now out of the competition there will be another name engraved in the trophy in May.
Quadruple chasing Manchester City top the prices as favourites to win the FA Cup this season. They overcame Premiership side Burnley in the 3rd Round, coming from behind to secure a 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium. City stand at $4, although they still await their 4th Round opponent with Cardiff City and Mansfield requiring a replay.
Manchester rivals, United are priced just behind City at $5 as they go in search of another FA Cup victory. A tournament that they have an extremely prestigious history in. Goals from Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku saw them past Derby and they will now travel to take on the lowest ranked side left in the competition, Yeovil Town.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both priced at $6.50.
After overcoming Everton in a local derby in the 3rd Round, Liverpool will certainly have high hopes of winning a trophy that has eluded them since 2006. Although the loss of Phillipe Couthinho to Barcelona will pose questions for Liverpool in all remaining competitions. They face West Brom at home in the 4th Round.
Whilst Spurs have had to endure an even longer time since they last lifted the hallowed FA Cup trophy. They have won it since the 1990-91 season and now is the time for their impressive squad to add some silverware to their many fine performances in recent years. They will first have to beat League Two side Newport County in the next Round.
Chelsea then follow priced at $7 although they still require a 3rd Round replay to overcome Norwich City. They should have the beating of Norwich though back at Stamford Bridge. The winner of that match will play at home against Newcastle United.
Outside of the top EPL sides there is hope for a club to secure a historic win in the 2018 FA Cup Final. Wigan Athletic were the last side to do so in 2013 as they beat Manchester City. A victory that came with sorrow as they were relegated from the EPL in the same year. They are priced at $251 to repeat their heroics.
Any one of the remaining EPL clubs left in the competition will certainly have aspirations of winning the FA Cup. As an outside bet Leicester City at $21 look good value, whilst fans Southampton ($41), Watford ($41) and West Ham ($51) will be hoping for a magical Cup run.
