The sixth edition of the International Champions Cup is already underway, with 18 of Europe’s best teams competing in the friendly tournament.
The majority of matches will take place in the United States, as well as Singapore and European cities such as London, Madrid and Nice.
Arsenal ($1.83) meets Atletico Madrid ($3.50) in Singapore on Thursday night Australian time in the first of two fixtures for the Gunners in Singapore.
Arsenal has used Asia as a pre-season venue for a number of years now, playing in Malaysia, Thailand and China among others.
The Gunners have brought along their entire first-team squad, who should see at least a half of football in the steamy conditions in Singapore.
This is a rematch of the 2017 Europa League semi-final which Atletico won over two legs and then went on to win the title.
As always in friendly matches, check the team sheets an hour before kick-off, but Arsenal should be too good in this one given Atletico are missing a number of key players who are taking a break after the World Cup.
Arsenal’s second and final match in Singapore is against French Ligue One winners PSG.
Arsenal are $2.20 favourites to win the match, with PSG $2.80 outsiders. The draw is paying $3.40 at Sportsbet.
PSG may struggle to acclimatise to the conditions in Singapore after playing in Germany last weekend, in a 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich.
That PSG side was understrength, with hardly any of the players in action in conditions for first-team action this season.
This will be the first of two matches they play in Singapore ahead of Sunday’s showdown with Atletico Madrid.
The draw offers some value in this fixture given Arsenal’s new defensive game style and PSG’s lack of cutting edge going forward.
Old rivals Manchester United and Liverpool meet at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
Many are hoping these two will attract more than the 109,000 fans that watched Real Madrid and Manchester United at the stadium in 2015.
Liverpool are $2.20 favourites to win the match, with United paying $2.75. the draw is offered at $3.40.
United have struggled in their annual tour of the United States so far. A draw with Club America and the lowly San Jose Earthquakes of the MSL have United winless on their travels.
Forward Alexis Sanchez arrived late to training camp after experiencing visa issues, but is expected to feature in this match.
Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Borussia Dortmund in Carolina after a pair of late goals to the German’s.
Look for Liverpool to bounce back in this one, as they possess more attacking threat than their opponents.
Other matches to look forward to over the weekend include Chelsea ($1.91) taking on Inter Milan ($3.30) in the southern French city of Nice.
Chelsea defeated Perth Glory 1-0 in front of over 55,000 fans at Optus Stadium on Monday night and will have a short turnaround ahead of this match.
Bayern Munich ($2.10) and Manchester City ($2.80) meet in Miami, while Barcelona ($1.67) take on Tottenham ($4) at the Rose Bowl on Sunday afternoon.
