Melbourne City remain Sydney FC’s nearest contender, but a third loss in all competitions this season has seen City’s price to win the title drift from $4.50 to $5 at Sportsbet.
The Newcastle Jets continue to perform this season, defeating Adelaide United 2-1 thanks to a late Dimitri Petratos goal in the 89th minute.
The Jets sit second on the A-League ladder, just five points behind league leaders Sydney.
The Jets win did little to sway punters to back them in the outright market, with the Jets remaining at $6 to win the title at Sportsbet.
Adelaide has seen a price drift from $13 to $15 after their second loss to the Jets this season. The Reds up and down season continues. They look to be a team that will be playing finals this season, but may have little impact when they reach the knockout stages.
The Western Sydney Wanderers bounced back from a horrific 5-0 derby day loss to Sydney with a convincing 2-0 win against the Central Coast Mariners.
The Wanderers cause was done no harm thanks to two red cards to Mariners players in the second half, both of which were subject to controversy.
Despite grabbing an elusive victory, Western Sydney has drifted from $15 to $17 at Sportsbet to win the title.
The Mariners continue to be one of the least supported teams in that market, drifting from $24 to $51 this week.
After a lacklustre first half, Perth Glory took all three points from their clash against Wellington in Perth on Saturday night.
A Diego Castro goal from a sublime cross set up the win, with Glory unlucky not to double their advantage in the second half.
Perth’s win has seen their outright odds firm from $26 to $21 at Sportsbet this week.
The Phoenix weren’t as poor as they were a fortnight ago in their trip to Perth, but remain at the bottom of the table with only six points through 11 rounds.
They have reached a season-high $326 to win the title, out from $226 just a week ago.
Melbourne Victory struck early against the Brisbane Roar on Sunday night and held on to their advantage gallantly.
Victory was unlucky not to go into half time with a three or four goal advantage, with Roar keeper Jamie Young keeping Brisbane in the game.
Despite scoring in the second-half, the Roar lacked the cutting edge or luck needed to steal a point from Victory on this occasion.
The odds of Melbourne Victory winning the 2017-18 A-League title have shortened from $8.50 in $7 at Sportsbet on the back of their win.
The Roar has seen their odds drift from $26 to $36 at Sportsbet.
