There are six races remaining in the 2018 MotoGP season and it is Spain’s Marc Marquez that is the runaway leader.
Marquez is priced at $1.005 at Sportsbet to win his fifth World Championship and third in as many seasons.
He has had an impressive 2018 campaign, with five race wins and is 67 points clear of Italy’s Andrea Dovizioso.
Marquez set up his season with an impressive series of results early on, with three straight wins in the American, Spanish and French GP events.
He has missed the podium only twice this season, in Argentina and Italy.
Dovizioso is $18 to win the MotoGP championship this season as the 32-year-old looks to fall short of his maiden World Championship yet again.
The Italian finished last season is second spot in the standings with 261 points, 37 points in arrears of Marquez.
The Spaniard has not been as consistent in 2018, as his lowest finish was sixth in 2017, although he did have three retirements. This season Marquez is yet to retire from a race.
Dovizioso took out the most recent event in San Marino, beating Marquez and his Honda teammate Cal Crutchlow, who finished third.
It is difficult to see where the Italian will make up the ground necessary to catch Marquez, if the Spaniard maintains his sold form.
Dovizioso lost ground after three retirements in four races in Spain, France and Catalonia, which cruelled his title ambitions.
Veteran Italian driver Valentino Rossi is in third place in the standings, with his Yamaha proving a consistent ride this season, without threatening the top two riders.
Rossi’s best finish of the season came in Germany where he finished season. He is $51 to win the MotoGP World Championship this season.
The 39-year-old was unstoppable in his heyday, winning seven World Championships between 2001 and 2009, including five straight between 2001 and 2005.
He has finished outside of the top seven only once this season and has been one of the Championships’ most consistent riders.
Spain’s Jorge Lorenzo is priced at $51 to win the MotoGP this season and is the last of the drivers priced below the $501 price.
Lorenzo has won three titles, but is nearly 100 points behind Marquez in the standings.
His best results this season came in Italy and Catalonia, where he won back-to-back events.
MotoGP World Championship Odds
Marc Marquez $1.005
Andrea Dovizioso $18
Jorge Lorenzo $51
Valentino Rossi $51
