Brandon Moreno will have the home crowd on his side when he takes on American Sergio Pettis at UFC Fight Night 114 at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City.
The event is the fourth to be held in the Mexican capital, and comes on the back of a new broadcast deal with Fox Networks Group, Latin America.
Moreno’s main event bout with fellow young flyweight Pettis is set to be an entertaining fight, and a look ahead to the future of the division. The Mexican is a $1.60 favourite to win his 12th consecutive fight, and fourth in a row since moving under the UFC banner.
The 23-year-old has quickly ascended the ranks. He is a submission specialist that has worked on his striking in recent times, which shows he is becoming a well-rounded fighter.
Pettis likes to use a lot of kicks in between the punches he throws, and will also bring a lot of momentum into this one, riding a three-fight winning streak.
This is a tough fight to call, but with Pettis fighting at the higher level for longer, the $2.35 represents value.
Like Pettis, Markos won’t have the crowd on her side, as her opponent hails from Mexico, she will however, have the advantage when it comes to wrestling.
Grasso is the better striker, so this one will come down to which fighter can get the bout on their terms.
Once again, we’re expecting a tight affair, but if I was going to have a flutter, I’d take Markos at the juicy odds.
Price has only fought twice under the UFC banner, but won on both occasions. He should be too good for Jouban here, he’s aggressive, physical and slick on the mat.
