The Boston Celtics took a commanding 2-nil lead in their best-of-seven series against the Cleveland Cavaliers after a 107-94 win on Wednesday.
The Cavs entered the game as slight underdogs and took a seven-point lead into half-time.
That was quickly erased by another trademark Boston run, as the Celtics outscored the Cavs 36-22 in the third quarter.
Cleveland had no answer for the Celtics, despite LeBron James scoring a 42-point triple-double.
Boston remains undefeated in the playoffs at home and are now $1.40 favourites to capture the Eastern Conference title.
The Cavaliers are $2.95 underdogs and will have to go back to the drawing board if they are to defeat this dogged Celtics team.
Doubling LeBron James has proven to be a successful tactic for Brad Stevens and his team, who have restricted the scoring of the Cavs role players particularly well in this series so far.
Kevin Love performed well on Tuesday scoring 22 points, but JR smith was scoreless on seven shots and George Hill went 1/4 as the starting point guard.
The Cavs bench was not much better, managing only 19 points in total.
Boston continues to rely on a team effort to score their points, with six players in double figures, led by Jaelyn Brown who scored 23 points.
The Celtics are favoured to win this series 4-1 in the series correct score market at $3.84. The next best is Boston to win in seven games at $4.50, with a Cavs 4-3 win seen as their best hope at $4.95.
In the Western Conference, Golden State will look to take a commanding 2-nil advantage when they take on Houston tomorrow morning.
The Rockets were outscored 63-50 in the second half of game one, but are $1.84 favourites to win game two, with the Warriors $2.01 outsiders.
Golden State remains the hot favourite to claim their third NBA Championship in four seasons at $1.36. The Celtics are paying $9 for the title, while the Cavs down 2-0 are a $15 title shot.
