Steph Curry made an emphatic statement as the Warriors took control of the Western Conference Finals with a 126-85 win over the Rockets in Game Four. The Rockets had no answer for the two-time MVP, who hit 35-points and pulled down six rebounds in a brilliant display.
Houston simply had no answer to Curry as he put on 17-points in the third quarter to change the course of the series. The 41-point victory was the largest in Warriors’ postseason history as the Rockets were spectators at both ends of the court. James Harden top-scored for the visitors with 20-points, but his team were ineffective in the face of a massive onslaught.
Kevin Durant took a back seat to Curry, finishing with 25 points, six rebounds and six assists as the Warriors notched their 16th consecutive win at home during the postseason, which saw the reigning Champions surpass Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls in the process.
Trailing 2-1 in the series, the visitors will be doing all they can to silence the crowd and even the series up before the sides head back to Houston on Friday (AEST), but they’ll need to raise their game substantially if they are to challenge the might of the 2017 Champions.
After their performance in game three, Sportsbet has the Warriors as raging hot favourites to win this one at $1.23. The Rockets have done little to inspire confidence and understandably they’re outsiders to square the series at $4.40.
Steph Curry is back to his best and with he and his teammates flexing their championship muscles at home in game three, we won’t be surprised to see them give an encore performance in game four, strolling to a double-digit win.
Best Bet: Warriors Big Win/Little Win 11+ at $2.16
