Only eight weeks remain in the 2017 NFL regular season, with teams hovering around the 0.500 mark desperate to notch up vital wins.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots look a cut above the competition in the AFC, whilst the Philadelphia Eagles are far and away the best team in the NFC with an 8-1 record.
Minnesota Vikings at Washington Redskins
Monday, 13 November 2017 at 5am AEDST
The Washington Redskins return to Maryland after notching an impressive win against the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle last weekend.
The long trip back across the country might lead to heavy legs for a team that were big outsiders to come away from Seattle with a win.
After a slow start, the Vikings are 6-2 and in the box seat to win the NFC North. Offensive inconsistency plagued them early on, but they are now averaging nearly 27 points per game in their current three-game winning streak.
The Vikings are 6-0 when scoring more than 20 points. The Vikings defence has also been strong, ranking third in points allowed per game.
The Redskins offence will certainly be one-dimensional, given its rushing attack averages less than four yards per carry.
This will mean Kirk Cousins will have to do the bulk of the work in this contest against one of the league’s strongest defence.
This is a bad spot for the Redskins coming back from Seattle. It’s a game they have to have, but we are siding with the better overall team in this one.

New York Jets at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Monday, 13 November 2017 at 5am AEDST
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been the most disappointing team so far this season and its all come crashing down for a team that was predicted to make the playoffs this season.
Quarterback Jameis Winston exited last weekend’s game against the Saints and is expected to miss at least the next two to three games.
For the Jets, they demolished division rival Buffalo on Thursday Night Football in their most impressive win of the season.
Quarterback Josh McCown completed 70 per cent of his passes and has played well recently, throwing six touchdowns and only one intercept.
The adept Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at quarterback for the Bucs against one of his former teams, but the momentum is well and truly with the Jets in this one.
Despite being road favourites and having little value at the head to head market, the Jets should win a narrow contest by between 1-13 points.

New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers
Monday, 13 November 2017 at 8.25am AEDST
Both of these teams have had truly awful season so far. The Giants are 1-7 and the 49ers are 0-9.
The 49ers opened as favourites in this one but have been hammered into underdog status.
The last time these two teams met was in 2015 when the Giants beat the 49ers 30-27.
The 49ers are 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 home games, while the Giants are 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games against a team with a losing home record.
The big question is in this one will be whether or not Jimmy Garoppolo will start at quarterback for the 49ers after his trade from the Patriots.
The 49ers offence has struggled, ranking 30th with 15.9 points per game.
The Giants aren’t much better, with 36 year old quarterback Eli Manning ranking 23rd in quarterback rating and 15th in completion percentage.
In a match between two terrible teams, it’s a mystery why the Giants are road favourites and giving up almost a field goal (2.5 points).
We are siding with the 49ers to get their first and probably only win of the season.
