A Saturday night blockbuster awaits for rugby league fans, with the top four in the NRL all facing off against each in back to back games. 1st plays 2nd, as St George make the trip to Panthers Stadium to take on Penrith. Whilst 3rd and 4th will meet in Auckland with the Warriors taking on the Rabbitohs. Before all that action though a mid table battle between Manly and Canberra will boost the victors push for the playoffs.
Canberra Raiders v Manly Sea Eagles, Friday 25th May, 6pm, GIO Stadium
Manly make the trip to the nations capital fresh off the back of a comprehensive victory over the reigning Premiers in Melbourne. In a controversy laden match, the Sea Eagles produced the better performance on the night to get the better of the Storm. Discipline will be an issue they will want to focus on for this match though as they have shown they have the quality to beat the best sides in the competition when they concentrate on playing. They stand at $2.10.
A Round 4 humiliation at the hands of Manly, should be enough incentive for the Raiders to get themselves up for this match. They pushed the table topping Dragons all the way last week and certainly have the ability to challenge the Sea Eagles. They will need to be at their best though to match their price of $1.75.
Bet of the Match – Canberra to Win by 1-12 points at $3.20
New Zealand Warriors v South Sydney Rabbitohs, Saturday 26th May, 5.30pm, Mt Smart Stadium
Pre-season very few people would have called this match to be a clash of 3rd against 4th at this stage of the year. Yet both sides continue to defy the odds in 2018 and are both genuine contenders for the finals. Injuries have threatened to derail the Warriors season, but they have overcome those setbacks to post a very respectable 8-3 record. They have the edge in a close contest priced at $1.87.
The Bunnies, especially in recent weeks, have produced some very impressive performances. Including beating the Dragons two weeks ago, before backing that up with a narrow win over the Cowboys in Townsville. Things don’t get any easier for South Sydney as they make the trip across the Tasman priced at $1.95.

Penrith Panthers v St George Illawarra Dragons, Saturday 26th May, 7.35pm, Panthers Stadium
The top two ranked sides in the NRL will meet for the first time this season. It was the Dragons who got the better of the Panthers in both clashes last season, although that may count for very little with the form Penrith are in. Indeed, both sides are in fine form and this promises to be an epic clash.
St George stand as favourites though priced at $1.75 compared to Penrith at $2.10. Neither side will want to take a backwards step, with a win for the Dragons opening up clear daylight at the top of the ladder. Whilst Penrith would go level at the top if they come out victorious.
