At this stage of the season it is becoming increasingly more evident what clubs will be in the top 8 when Finals arrive. There are still a number of opportunities for those sitting outside to stake a claim, but time is running out.
Nth Queensland Cowboys v New Zealand Warriors, Friday 15th June, 6pm, 1300Smiles Stadium
The Cowboys hold one of the worst records in the NRL this season at 4-10. Last years beaten Grand Finalists have had a major fall from grace and are struggling to turn their season around. They appeared to have turned a corner with a win over Manly, before a Round 14 collapse against the Eels. North Queensland have an opportunity in front of their fans to show what they are capable of priced at $2.10.
New Zealand were undoubtedly the surprise package to kick off 2018, yet they have faltered as the side has been hit with injuries. Despite that they remain in the top 8 and have a chance of bolstering their place with a win over a disorganised Cowboys side priced at $1.74.

Sydney Roosters v Penrith Panthers, Friday 15th June, 7.55pm, Allianz Stadium
These two sides are in prime position for this match to be a blockbuster. With the Panthers sitting 2nd on the ladder and the Roosters in 4th.
Much was expected of the Roosters at the start of the year and they appear to have put a slow start behind them. Getting wins around Origin time is always difficult, but they battled to 18-16 win last weekend over Newcastle. They’re slight favourites for this clash priced at $1.82, although they will need all their stars to be at their best if they are to keep the in form Panthers at bay.
For Penrith they needed their halves kicking combination to be on fire as they squeezed past Canberra by a point in Round 14. James Maloney and Nathan Cleary have been the sparks that set alight this Panthers side who will be a major threat of an upset at $2.
Bet of the Match – Penrith to Win by 1-12 points at $3.30
Wests Tigers v Canberra Raiders, Sunday 17th June, 4.10pm, Campbelltown Stadium
Back to back losses for Wests have left their season in danger as they look to hang on inside the top 8. Impressive early season wins over a number of the top clubs set the Tigers off in good stead, but they have begun to look shaky as the year progresses. They blew a half time lead to lose to Cronulla in Round 14. Despite that they edge the Raiders to be favourites priced at $1.80.
This is almost a must win game for both of these sides. The Raiders season along with the Tigers hangs in the balance as they look to push for Finals footy. Too often Canberra have lost games this season from winnable positions. Just as they did last week against Penrith. They stand at $2.02.
