Melbourne Storm v Manly Sea Eagles, AAMI Park, Sunday July 30, 2pm AEST
Melbourne Storm may well have been sitting at the top of the ladder for much of the year but they only sit two points ahead of the Roosters while this week’s opponents, Manly Sea Eagles are now sat six points adrift of the league leaders. The Storm bounced back from a post-Origin humbling from the Eels to register a hard-fought win against the Raiders in Round 20. They are once again looking like potential Premiership winners elect. Despite the loss of Billy Slater to injury, due to the tackle everyone has been talking about, the Storm are clear favourites to win this one. They are priced at $1.64 with William Hill. With the Roosters hot on their heels for the top spot on the ladder, the Storm will be focused on riding out the few remaining fixtures before Finals.
Last weekend saw the Sea Eagles succumb to a humiliating defeat at the hands of the St George Illawarra Dragons. That 52-22 loss will have hurt a Manly side who repeatedly throughout the year had looked like they were back to their best. They now sit just out the of the top four, two points behind joint third and level on points with the seventh-placed Eels. For so long this season Manly sat in the top four but those hopes have taken a huge dent. It will take a monumental effort for them beat the Storm and overturn a price of $2.30. The Sea Eagles will also be out to avenge their 30-26 defeat to the Storm earlier in the year.

Gold Coast Titans v Wests Tigers, Cbus Super Stadium, Sunday July 30, 4pm AEST
Sunday will also see the Gold Coast Titans try to keep alive their extremely thin hopes of making the Finals. While mathematically possible, the Titans need a miracle but most importantly they need to get back to winning ways when they take on the Tigers. A controversial loss to the Panthers last weekend dented the Titans’ finals hopes making this a must win match. They are heavy favourites with William Hill at $1.26. Having beaten the Tigers just five weeks ago, the Titans will be confident of repeating that feat.
The Tigers have nothing but pride to play for during the remainder of the season, making them a potentially tough side to beat for teams with higher aspirations. Wests pushed the Eels all the way last weekend and only went down in the last few minutes thanks to a one pointer from Corey Norman. James Tedesco has been back to his best in recent weeks after his Origin exploits and will once again be a real threat to the Titans. Wests are priced at $3.95 with William Hill to claim an unlikely victory. Their best hope of this could well be targeting the Titans up the middle, an area where the Gold Coast has looked susceptible on numerous occasions.
