EPLTHE frantic period of EPL continues with another week of intense, gripping drama to come.

Manchester United will be looking to prevent losing at Old Trafford again and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can manage to string another win together.

The match of the round is played on Monday morning between Arsenal and Everton.

The highlight of the Week 14 results was Luis Suarez’s four goal haul for Liverpool.

There are two best bets to consider this week – West Bromwich at $1.80 against Norwich on Sunday morning and a small investment on Everton at $2.20 in the futures betting to finish in the top six.

Manchester United ($1.44), Draw ($4.33), Newcastle ($7.50)

11:45pm (AEST), Saturday December 7 at Old Trafford

Manchester United was defeated at home by Everton 1-0 mid-week, which would have been a pretty big blow to the confidence of the Devil’s side.

The man from Old Trafford were not the only ones dealing with disappointment, as Newcastle was bought crashing back to earth with a 3-0 loss to Swansea. Due to the losses, Manchester United has moved back down to ninth spot and Newcastle stays in sixth.

Manchester United is back at home for this match and has a good record against Newcastle. It is undefeated in 22 out of 23 matches against Newcastle. However, Manchester United’s home record this season has not been as good as it has been in previous years. It has now lost two matches at Old Trafford this season. Newcastle has won three matches away from home this season.

This match is hard to predict but I am leaning towards a United victory, surely it cannot lose two in a row at Old Trafford.

Manchester United has blown out to $21 in the outright premiership betting market. Manchester United is still well and truly in the market to finish in the top four at $1.83.

Liverpool ($1.33), Draw ($5), West Ham ($9)

2:00am (AEST), Sunday December 8 at Anfield

Liverpool was awesome in its 5-1 defeat of Norwich last round. Amazingly, Luis Suarez scored four goals during the destruction. Liverpool has played well at home this season and in its last four home matches, it has scored at least three goals.

West Ham’s confidence was dealt a low blow, defeated by relegation favourites Crystal Palace. It has only managed one win away from home, so will struggle at Anfield.

Liverpool remains in fourth spot and West Ham dropped to 17th. Liverpool is $11 to win the EPL premiership and $1.80 to finish in the top four.

Stoke City ($5), Draw ($3.80), Chelsea ($1.67)

2:00am (AEST), Sunday December 8 at Britannia Stadium

Stoke played a frustrating and boring scoreless draw with Cardiff on Thursday, and still finds themselves in relegation territory in 14th spot. Stoke has managed one win at home this season, but has drawn four, lost one and will face an up-hill battle to win against Chelsea.

Chelsea defeated Sunderland 4-3 and remains in second spot on the ladder. The only concern from that win is that Chelsea allowed Sunderland to score three goals, with its defence against Sunderland’s set pieces proving nothing more than woeful. Chelsea needs to improve in that area to be a premiership contender and chase down leaders Arsenal.

Chelsea is on the third line of betting in premiership markets, paying $4.33.

Crystal Palace ($2.50), Draw ($3.30), Cardiff ($2.80)

2:00am (AEST), Sunday December 8 at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace moved back off the bottom of the ladder into 19th after defeating West Ham 1-0. Cardiff had a 0-0 draw with Stoke that saw it climb up to 15th spot.

In its last two matches Crystal Palace has a win, a draw and two clean sheets. Cardiff has lost its winning form – its last win came over Swansea a month ago and since then has had two losses and two draws. A draw is predicted for this one.

Cardiff is $1.91 to be the top promoted team into the EPL this season and $1.25 to avoid relegation. Crystal Palace is $1.20 to be relegated in relegation markets.

Southampton ($4.33), Draw ($3.50), Manchester City ($1.43)

6:45am (AEST), Sunday December 8 at St Mary’s Stadium

Southampton was defeated 3-2 by Aston Villa this week, putting it on a three match losing streak that it will be desperate to end against Machester City.

Southampton has only lost one match at home this season and that was the loss against Aston Villa. Frustration at the fade in form spilled over after the final whistle in the match against Aston Villa. Southampton’s normally miserly defence appears to have fallen apart in recent times and it has now dropped a position from last week into eighth spot.

The form for Manchester City is completely contrasting. It secured a 3-2 win over West Bromwich to win its third match in a row. In its last three matches it has scored 12 goals.

The win means Manchester City is still in third on the competition ladder. Manchester City has two away wins this season and might just be too good for Southampton.

Manchester City still remain favourites in premiership betting at $2.63.

West Bromwich ($1.80), Draw ($3.50), Norwich ($4.50)

2:00am (AEST), Sunday  December 8 at The Hawthorns

Both West Bromwich and Norwich suffered a loss last round. West Bromwich went down 3-2 to Manchester City and Norwich was given a lesson by Liverpool, losing 5-1. West Bromwich has moved down to 13th and Norwich dropped back down to 16th.

West Bromwich played okay against Manchester City and managed to score two goals, which is a good achievement. Norwich isn’t great at scoring goals and it is coming off a heavy loss. Norwich has not won in 25 out of its past 28 away matches in the EPL. West Bromwich should be too good at home.

Sunderland ($4.50) Draw ($3.50) Tottenham ($1.80)

4:30am (AEST), Sunday 8 December 2013 at Stadium of Light

Sunderland was defeated 4-3 by Chelsea this week. They did manage to score three goals against Chelsea and very nearly got a draw out of the match. Meanwhile, Tottenham was finally able to secure a win, beating Fulham 2-1. It was a hard fought win for Tottenham as it had to come from behind. Tottenham need to defeat Sunderland to prove they are still in the hunt for a top four finish and I think they can pull a win off here.

Sunderland is back on the bottom of the ladder and Tottenham has moved up to sixth. Tottenham is $3.60 to make a top four finish. Sunderland is on the second line of betting at $1.67 to be relegated.

Fulham ($2.62), Draw ($3.30), Aston Villa ($2.62)

12:30am (AEST), Monday December 9 at Craven Cottage

Fulham went down 2-1 to Tottenham, but made Tottenham work for the win. The team played with plenty of spirit under Rene Meulensteen, who was in charge of the side for the first time. Aston Villa pulled off a 3-2 away win against Southampton. Fulham is still in 18th and Aston Villa has moved up a spot to 10th.

The Aston Villa manager dropped star striker Christian Benteke to the bench and played Gabriel Agbonlahor and Libor Kozak up front in the win against Southampton. The change worked wonders, with both forwards scoring goals. If Aston Villa plays like that against Fulham, they will win.

Fulham is $1.91 to avoid relegation. Fulham is on the third line of relegation betting at $1.72.

Arsenal ($1.67), Draw ($3.80), Everton ($5.00)

3:00am (AEST), Monday December 9 at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal remains at the top of the tree after an easy 2-0 win over Hull. Everton defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford and moved up to fifth spot. This is the match of the round and will be subject to a further preview.

Arsenal is $3.40 and on the second line of betting in the outright premiership market. Everton is $6.50 and on the seventh line of betting to make a top four finish. Everton is $2.20 to finish in the top six.

Swansea ($1.73) Draw ($3.60) Hull ($5)

7:00am (AEST), Tuesday December 10 at Liberty Stadium

Swansea enjoyed plenty of possession in its 3-0 defeat of Newcastle. It took advantage of a Newcastle side that didn’t look interested or play with any of the confidence you would expect from a side that had won its last four. As expected, Hull was beaten 2-0 by Arsenal. Swansea improved to 11th spot and Hull drops to 12th.

Swansea has dominated matches over Hull. The sides have met 23 times with Swansea winning 10, Hull winning six and seven draws. The sides last met in 2011 for a 1-1 draw. Swansea has won two matches at home this season. Hull has only had one win away. After such a good win over Newcastle, Swansea should continue that form over Hull at Liberty Stadium.

Hull is equal favourites with Cardiff to be the top promoted team into the EPL this season. Hull is also $1.25 to avoid relegation.
