Twenty20 Big Bash Betting – Monday 24th January

Mon, Jan 24, 3:37pm by Kevin Pitstock

There are a couple of KFC Twenty20 Big Bash matches on today, because one of them was rescheduled. The highlight of today’s matches will be the first one to kickoff and is between Tasmania and South Australia. This is a top-of-the-table clash, with both teams having won 3 of their first 4 matches.

The other match that is on today starts later on this afternoon and sees the 3rd placed Blues take on the 5th placed Bulls.

Tasmania vs South Australia – Twenty20 Betting

Tasmania: $1.78
South Australia: $2.02

Tasmania will be without spinner Xavier Doherty after he was called up to the Australian squad while the Redbacks will be without influential all rounder Kieron Pollard after he was sent back to the West Indies to prepare for the World Cup.

I think the loss of Pollard for the Redbacks will be more of a loss than the loss of Doherty; that coupled with the home ground advantage should see Tasmania get on top in this clash on the top-of-the-table.

Queensland Bulls vs New South Wales – Twenty20 Betting

The Bulls have only won the one match in three, when they flogged the top team on the table, the Redbacks. The Blues are two for two and travel up North looking to solidify their spot towards the top of the ladder.

I’m going for a slight upset in this match and predicting that the Queensland Bulls will be able to come away with a victory in front of their home fans. The Bulls are paying $1.95.
