Aston Villa take on Fulham on Sunday morning AEST as the Premier League starts to heat up. Fulham have kept clean sheets in their last 3 matches but have horrific away form this season with just the one win. They’ll travel against an Aston Villa team that is in the jam-packed mid-table with them. Villa chalked up a couple of wins before running into Man Utd last start and will be looking to get back in the winners circle this weekend.
Aston Villa Betting Preview
Before running into the Red Devils Villa had won two EPL games in a row against Manchester City and Wigan Athletic. There home form this season isn’t anything to write home about – it is currently sitting at 5-4-3 and 16/13 for goals.
Darren Bent will be playing for Aston Villa along with a host of other stars like Ashley Young and Stewart Downing. Young (4 goals, 5 assists) and Downing (5 goals, 4 assists) will provide plenty of attacking opportunities down the flanks with Bent and Agbonlahor to finish them off. They’ll need to on song though because Fulham have 3 clean sheets in a row.
Fulham Betting Preview
Fulham are on fire of late with 3-0, 2-0, 1-0 victories over West Brom, Stoke City and Newcastle United respectively. Don’t be fooled though, because their away form is what is in question. All of their good results this season have come on their own turf. Their away form is 1-6-5 9/12 with their only away victory coming at Stoke back in December 2010.
Andrew Johnson will be playing for them and he will be sorely needed because of Fulham’s lack of goals. Even though they have plenty of clean sheets, they can’t seem to get goals.
Aston Villa vs Fulham Best Bet and Prediction
The bets bet here is to take Aston Villa at home for the win. They now have Bent up front, and rampaging wingers to supply him. Fulham’s away form is hopeless and struggle to score goals. Great odds are available at Centrebet Australia on this match with Villa paying $1.96 for the win.
Aston Villa to win 2-0.
