Chelsea enter the opening match of round eight of the Premier League against reigning champions Leicester amid speculation over the future of manager Antonio Conte.
The club – seventh place on the EPL ladder – has reportedly been forced to reaffirm its commitment to the former Italy and Juventus boss, who is just four months into a three-year contract.
Pep Guardiola’s league-leading Manchester City are predicted to easily bounce back from its shock loss to Tottenham before the international break when they host fifth-placed Everton on Sunday.
City have several star players ruled out due to injury, including Bacary Sagna (hamstring), Vincent Kompany (groin) and playmaker Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring), who have all been ruled out of the clash, while Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph are also in doubt.
City’s cross-town rivals Manchester United are faring less well under Jose Mourinho, sixth on the ladder after four wins and two losses.
Liverpool, by contrast, are in fine form and in fourth place, and are tipped to beat United for the first time since 2014 when they meet at Anfield on Tuesday.
“Man United has a good, strong team, but we have a great team and we play at home,” Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius told Premier League Productions. “We have respect for them but we’re not scared of them and we know we want to win the game.”
Arsenal should retain their top-three spot when they host Swansea on Sunday as England international Theo Walcott returns from injury, as does Germany’s Mesut Ozil.
The odds are slightly tighter when Middlesbrough host Watford, with the home side at $2.25 for a win against $3.25 for a draw and $3.25 for a draw, while Crystal Palace are paying $2.10 beat West Ham, with $3.75 for a loss and $3.40 for the draw.
Round eight of the EPL kicks off with Chelsea vs Leicester at 10.30pm Saturday AEST.
