I have found this betting preview between Tottenham Hotspur and Bolton Wanderers especially interesting to review because there are a number of stats and situations to monitor before betting on this match. Spurs have great home form, especially against Bolton. But they have poor recent form and are struggling with a whole host of injuries. Keep reading for the different stats on this fixture.
Tottenham Hotspur Betting Preview
Tottenham are 6-5-1 17/9 at White Hart Lane so far this season. Before their mid-week win against Rovers they had only picked up 2 points from a possible 9. That coupled with the fact they were torn apart by Fulham 4-0 in the FA Cup means things aren’t going as smoothly as their position on the ladder and their progression in the European Champions League would suggest.
Spurs are riddled with injuries at the moment, so it was good for them to beat Rovers during the week with a depleted lineup. They will go into this match against Bolton without Michael Dawson who is suspended and these injured players: Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Ledley King, Younes Kaboul and Steven Pieenar was injured during training but will have to prove his fitness to play.
Bolton Wanderers Betting Preview
The Wanderers travel to White Hart Lane with away form of 2-4-6 this season. They were lucky to escape with 3 points mid-week when new loan signing from Chelsea Daniel Sturridge pounced on a back pass in injury time.
Before that match they have only had 1 win in 7 matches in all competitions; with that win coming against a non-league team. So as you can probably tell, their form has been terrible. Put on top of that the fact that Bolton have only won once in 9 matches at White Hart Lane and it looks a tough day for them.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Bolton Wanderers Best Bet and Prediction
I think Spurs will just get over the line here. Despite their injuries and poor form they should be able to do enough here. Bolton don’t offer much in terms of attack, and Kevin Davies hasn’t been at his best. The home field advantage will get them the win here. Expect a grind though.
