The English premier League gets underway again in less than half an hour. It has been a while since I have posted my tips, but I can assure you, I will be posting my tips each week again.
Let’s get straight into it and have a look at the games being played at midnight on Saturday night, Aussie time. The match being showed on Fox Sports is Bolton vs Tottenham.
Bolton had what I think was a surprising 1-0 victory away to Birmingham last start. They have’nt showed much all season and contine to be the bore they have always been. Tottenham won impressively 5-0 against giant killers Burnley. This was a great result for them after losing to both Man Utd and Chelsea.
I predict that Tottenham will win this game. Sportsbet have them paying $2.05 for the win which looks like great value. Bolton can be hard to break down at home; but with the attacking flair that Hotspur have I think they should get up here.
Hull City vs Wigan Athletic – If last week’s form is anything to go by then we all should be jumping all over Wigan here. They beat Chelsea 3-1 while Hull were demolished 6-1 to Liverpool.
Hull have not shown much all season but will be looking to get their season back on track. I am going to have to pick Wigan though, based purely on their impressive performance last week. You can can on them for $2.35. The draw is paying $3.30, with Hull at $2.95 on Sportsbet.
Burnley vs Birmingham City – Both of these teams were especially disappointing for me last week. I will not be betting on this game because the form is too hard to judge here. I am going to have to sit on the fence and call a draw. If you want to have a bet: Burnley @ $2.20, Draw @ $3.20 with Birmingham City $3.35.
Wolverhampton vs Portsmouth – Portsmouth were my pre-season pick to be relegated and they are proving me right. They have not offered much at all this season. Wolverhampton have been up and down all year and seem to me like they are just bursting at the seams for a great performance.
I will be getting on Wolverhampton here @ $2.07. The draw is paying $3.25 with Portsmouth at $3.65.
Manchester United vs Sunderland – Both of these teams have been performing well of late, to a degree. Man Utd seem to always sneak home for a win, without playing their best football. I think that will be the case again here against a strong Sunderland outfit. Don’t be surprised if this game ends in a draw though.
Sportsbet have Man Utd paying $1.18 with Sunderland a whopping 17-1 shot. Great value for the draw @ $6.50 as well.
Kick off is now. Good luck everyone and happy punting!
