The Women’s FIFA World Cup will continue this week; with four games on the docket. All of these games will take place on Wednesday, as the tournament takes a quick day off of action. There are seven teams remaining without a loss in pool play, so the final games of the pool could make a huge difference in what happens in the next round of play. The action has been non-stop, without alot of major surprises going on. Here are the four games for Wednesday:
Japan 2.40 vs. England 3.00
Japan has two wins so far; first over New Zealand and with their latest coming over Mexico in a 4-0 rout. The Japanese team has seen Homare Sawa score three goals in two games. Japan has a +5 goal differential in the first two games. England is 1-0-1, after failing to beat Mexico and resulting in a draw, and then coming away with a win over New Zealand. The English team has scored just three goals in the first two games. Jill Scott appears to the be the key scoring threat for England. We figure this game will be low scoring and very tight.
Our pick: Japan knocks off England in a very close, tight game. Bet this match at Centrebet.
New Zealand 3.20 vs. Mexico 2.10
New Zealand has found themselves in two very tight matches, coming up on the wrong end of both. New Zealand lost to Japan and England both by 2-1 scores. They would like nothing more than to knock a Mexico team that wants to sneak into the second position in their pool. Mexico, after drawing 1-1 with England got smoked by Japan 4-0 to put them in trouble within the pool. Monica Ocampo has been the lone goal scorer for team Mexico to this point. Mexico will press a little bit in this one, but come away with a goal, winning 1-0.
Our pick: Mexico downs New Zealand by a goal. Bet on Mexico and many others at Centrebet.
France 6.00 vs. Germany 1.55
In what is expected to be a total blow-out, team France would like to show they belong with the top teams. France and Germany both come into this match with two wins in World Cup action. France has wins over Nigeria and Canada, both coming via the shut-out. Gaetane Thiney has scored two goals in the first two games. For Germany, they have recorded wins over Canada and Nigeria as well. Team Germany is one of the teams picked to win the entire World Cup, so they have more pressure on them in this one. Look for Germany to get an early goal and roll to a 3-0 win.
Our pick: Germany wins this match easily over the French. Do all your World Cup betting at Centrebet.
Canada 1.65 vs. Nigeria 4.75
Team Canada comes into this match with a -5 differential in World Cup play. Canada lost to Germany 2-1, and then France blanked them 4-0. Canada will look for more offense in this affair. The underdog, Nigeria has yet to score World Cup goal; losing 1-0 games to both France and Germany. Look for the defensive minded Nigeria team to struggle once again to find the net.
Our pick: Canada beats Nigeria 1-0. Bet Canada at Centrebet.
