Best 2012 MLB pick: Texas Rangers.
The Texas Rangers are the two time defending AL champions and 2012 looks to be there season. In my opinion they have never looked stronger, and with their off-season signings it could well be their year.
With players like Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, Adrian Beltre, Ian Kinsler, Mike Napoli, Elvis Andrus and Mitch Moreland they look to have more than enough firepower.
Their rotation squad also has considerable depth, which is why I think the Rangers represent excellent value at $11.00. They have 6 players for five rotation slots: Colby Lewis, Matt Harrison, Derek Holland, Alexi Ogando, Neftali Feliz and Yu Darvish.
If the Texas Rangers make it to the World Series again in 2012, it will be for the 3rd consecutive year. I’m counting on them to keep up that consistency with the depth of their squad, and the sheer amount of talent they have amongst the squad. The competition for the rotation spots just highlights the quality they have in each position.
