Australian Open Womens Singles Title Betting Odds And Best Bets

As we reach the round of 16 in the 2011 Australian Open Womens Singles it is an opportune time too look at the draw and exploit any weakness in the Australian Open Womens Singles Winner markets.

As the draw has unfolded it has definitely left the top half of the draw stacked quite a bit heavier than the bottom half with a number of chances bound to be disappointed.

Coming from the top half of the draw are world number 1 Caroline Wozniacki, the highly watchable Maria Sharapova and very much in form Na Li.

The bottom half of the draw looks likely to provide some interesting results but still holds Kim Clijsters and world number 2 Vera Zvonareva.

Looking at the likely outcomes from the Australian Open round 4 tips, Wozniacki, Kuznestova, Li and Sharapova should all advance.

That would see Wozniacki taking on Kuznetsova and Li vs Sharapova. Wozniacki should advance in a tough match against Kuznetsova given their 3-2 head to head history and Sharapova has an amazing 5-2 head to head advantage over Na Li. In the semi final, Sharapova actually leads the head to head versus Wozniacki and given her good form she is our tip to make the Australian womens final from the top of the draw, and at $16 on Centrebet with Wozniacki only at $5.50, there’s plenty of reason to have something on at those odds.

The bottom of the draw is much wider and although still a day out from those games we can try bracket predict the likely winners. Based on current form and historical head to head stats, Radwanska should get over Peng in a tight one, and Kvitova should beat Pennetta. The other two matches could go either way with Benesova a real hope to roll number 2 seed Zvonereva, and Makarova a live chance of beating Clijsters.

Radwanksa has a slight losing record to Clijsters but a winning record against Makarova, giving us two options from that quarter of the draw Radwanska/Clijsters. Kvitova has a winning record against both Benesova and Zvonereva, but we have to assume if Benesova was good enough to get past Zvonereva that she will give Kvitova a hell of a match, therefore we could have either Kvitova or Benesova emerge to take on Radwanska or Clijsters.

Should Radwanska prevail from the 3rd quarter of the draw our early Australian Gambling tip would be for either of Kvitova or Benesova to get past her and move to the final. Should Clijsters emerge from that quarter of the draw we like her to beat Kvitova but not Benesova.

That gives us four possible finals scenarios with three different outcomes :

  • Sharapova vs Kvitova
  • Sharapova vs Benesova
  • Sharapova vs Clijsters
  • Sharapova vs Benesova

Looking back at our finals winner markets, we are getting amazing odds with Benesova at $151, Kvitova at $12, Sharapova at $16 and Clijsters at $2.25.

Australian Open Womens Singles Final Winner Tips

Sharapova is our tip in an Australian Open final versus Benesova and in a final versus Clijsters or Kvitova it will be a coin flip.

Given the odds at hand and the likely scenarios, our Australian Open Womens Singles final winner tips and betting advice is to set aside your bank for this bet and place 40% of you bank roll on Sharapova to win the final at $16 for a good collect.

Then save on Clijsters with the other 40% and back Kvitova for a smaller win, that should still more than double your stake, with the remaining 20%.

Of course, given the $151 about Benesova who we predict can make the final in two out of four scenarios, we wouldn’t condemn anyone for having an interest at those odds either, because regardless of her chances on the final day, you won’t be getting $151 head to head anywhere.
