Microgaming adds Rootz games to its network

Mon, Sep 2, 2:53pm by Staff Writer

Microgaming has added another online gaming operator to its ever-growing portfolio of clients.

Casino News Daily reports that a recently penned deal with Rootz Ltd has seen Microgaming’s content gone live with the Malta-based operator’s Wildz online casino brand.

The rollout of Microgaming’s titles has been made possibly by the successful integration of Rootz’ online casino with the provider’s gaming platform.

Rootz can now offer its gambling customers a selection of the supplier’s online slot games, including the largely popular Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck II.

Rootz’ players have also been provided with access to Microgaming’s record breaking progressive jackpot game Mega Moolah.

Earlier this year, a lucky player his a 13.3 million euro jackpot on Mega Moolah, to become the winner of the third biggest sum of money from a Microgaming slot.

Last year, another player scooped the record-breaking amount of 18.9 million euros playing the popular game.

Speaking on the recent announcement, Microgaming’s chief commercial officer Jean-Luc Ferriere said that they are delighted to join forces with Rootz and ink a deal that will provide the operator’s players with access to the provider’s “entertaining collection” of engaging titles.

The recent agreement with Rootz is the latest in a series of commercial deals inked by Microgaming in recent months.

Earlier in August, the content supplier’s range of slots went live with leading Italian operator SKS365 Group’s flagship brand, Planetwin365.

Microgaming’s titles have also been rolled out across Mansion’s brands, as well as with 888casino.

Wildz launched recently

Rootz launched its first online casino, Wildz, just a few months ago.

Through the application of machine learning, the brand looks to customise and tailor the casino experience to each individual user’s preference.

In May, the Malta-based online gambling operator obtained a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority for the provision of business to client services.

Wildz went live with 500 slots, table games and live casino titles, but has increased its offering since then, adding content by premium developers and suppliers, including Microgaming.

Of their recent Microgaming integration, Rootz chief executive officer Lasse Rantala said last week that they are excited to be launching content by the major provider through their Wildz brand.

He went on to say that “as Microgaming is one of the longest-standing companies in the iGaming industry, it is important for us that we carry their large selection of games which online casino players know well.”

After being granted a business to customer licence by the Malta Gaming Authority, Rootz is now eyeing a licence in the newly reorganised Swedish online gambling market.

The company said earlier this year that it has applied for a permit to operate in Sweden, but it is yet to be seen when the local gambling authority will give it the nod to enter the lucrative space.

Italy’s leading operator adds Microgaming to its portfolio

One of Italy’s leading gambling operators has strengthened its market foothold by teaming up with online gaming supplier Microgaming.

Casino News Daily reports that under the terms of the latest deal of the Isle of Man-based provider of casino content, its range of titles has gone live with SKS365 Groups’ largest brand – Planetwin365.

Licenced to provide services in Italy, Malta and Serbia, SKS365 is one of the fastest growing retail and digital sports betting operators.

Through its flagship brand, Planetwin365, the company has established a leading position in Italy, which is currently Europe’s second largest regulated market, behind the United Kingdom.

With Microgaming being one of the industry’s veterans and offering some of the most popular slots in the space, including hit titles Immortal Romance, Jurassic World, Book of Oz and Wicked Tales: Dark Red, SKS365 will now be able to further cement itself in the Italian iGaming landscape.
