A new casino has been opened at the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone in Sochi, Russia. The new casino ‘Boomerang’ is functioning in the mountain resort of Rosa Khutor with reported investment of up to a billion rubles (A$20.9 million).
The casino features 204 slot machines and 20 gaming tables featuring roulette and card games.
It is expected that the new casino will create 400 new jobs.
The Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone has welcomed a new number of new casinos in decent years.
In January 2017 the Sochi Domain opened the largest casino in the zone, Sochi Casino.
It was built to a size of more than 3,000 square metres and employed 1,600 people.

11 months later Domain opened its hall of slot machines ‘Bonus’.
‘Boomerang’ was developed in stages as part of a large-scale project.
The first floor featuring a casino and food zone will be the first to open.
In the future, the company plans to open a sports bar on the first floor as well as a nightclub and a la carte restaurant on the second floor.
The entertainment centre may also include a karaoke bar and additional VIP zones for punters on the second floor.
Four European casino companies have filed a lawsuit against the Andorran government following a recent casino licensing process, European Gaming reports.
A regional company Jocs SA won the bidding process for a casino in Andorra la Vella.
Casinos Austria, Genting Group, Partouche France and Grupo CIRSA have confirmed they have already announced a combined lawsuit against the government as they assure they have identified multiple requirements for the process that Jocs could not fulfil as a winning party.
The lawsuit will be sanctioned in the coming days.
It states that the government risks “acing demands of damages and prejudices which will be both economic and reputational for the principality.”
