Twilight racing at Moonee Valley gets underway again tonight and we’ve gone through the form and come up with our best bets for Friday the 11th of February 2011. As you will notice from the tips, there are varying degrees of best bets. Some will be short priced favourites, some will be long shots.
We recommend that you do your own research before getting on the punt as well. All too often betting tips websites with promise you the world and deliver nothing. These tips are absolutely free, and I put my hard earned on them as well. But make sure you do your due diligence or mark in your black book if you aren’t confident enough to put your hard earned down yet.
Race 1, No.6 Almindoro – Moonee Valley
I really don’t like to bet on maiden races, but I’ll make an exception in this case. Almindoro has been racing against very high quality horses like Under the Eiffel and even though he has been racing well, has not saluted as yet. He finished 2nd in a Group 3 race on Caulfield Cup day, so his form lines are definitely there.
By Redoute’s Choice this 3YO Gelding has won 84k and hasn’t even won a race yet! As you can probably tell by now, he’s been in some serious races to date.
He is currently paying $5.50 at fixed odds on Sportsbet Australia.
Race 3, No.7 Count La Za – Mooney Valley
Count La Za won his maiden at Mornington last start and steps up to city class today in a true test of his ability. He is trained by David Hayes who has shown confidence in him by putting him straight into city class.
This is a 3000m race and a distance that the 4YO Gelding by Zabeel will relish (as they all do). He has Dean Holland on board, and I don’t view the rest of the field as being overly strong.
Bet on Count La Za at $15.00 fixed odds at Sportsbet.com.au
Race 4, No.3 Jugahlation – Moonee Valley
This is a horse I have been following very closely and have backed several times in the past. He steps up to city class today, just like our previous tip. His form reads 2-2-1 with those two 2nds being by the barest of margins coming home strongly.
This 3YO Gelding has over 50k in prize money and is being ridden by Dwayne Dunn. Expect him to finish with an almighty rush and give these city class horses a good run for their money.
He provides excellent each-way value with fixed odds of $26.00/$5.50 at Sportsbet.
