Punters have taken advantage of the $4.50 on offer with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au for Hay List in tomorrow’s Newmarket Handicap, including one punter who has placed a $20,000 bet this morning on the champion sprinter.
Opening at $3.40, Hay List has drifted out to $4.50 however it hasn’t deterred the punters, with Hay List easily the best backed horse.
Rain Affair has been the next best backed and is priced at $8.00.
“Hay List faces a champions task under the handicap conditions in what will likely be a high pressure race, but the punters don’t seem worried, particularly the one punter who placed $20,000 on him this morning,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.
