Elephant King takes you to the African plains, where you’ll find a range of colourful animal symbols on the reels. The elephant rules the roost in this game, this symbol features a golden frame. The elephant is joined by rhino, a zebra and a gazelle, with blue, green and orange backgrounds respectively. Spin over a hazy safari background, complete with a cacophony of animal noises.
You’ll find stacked symbols on every reel, offering the chance to grab those impressive multi win-line pay outs. This IGT designed pokie is full of additional winning opportunities amongst the following highlights:
Throughout play on the Elephant King you’ll notice a range of awards are listed above each reel. These are the ‘prize discs’ and the prizes will be awarded any time a ‘prize’ elephant appears on that reel. These are different to the standard elephant symbols, this time showing an elephant standing with a golden halo behind it.
During the base game these prize elephants only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. If the prize disc shows a number, this is the number of coins you’ll immediately be awarded. You can also be lucky enough to have a prize disc which states ‘free spins’. Hitting a prize elephant underneath this prize disc will activate the free spins bonus feature.
The prize discs will move one to the left after each spin, meaning that you’ll have five opportunities to land any of the prizes before they disappear off the left of the reels. The cash prizes within the prize discs range from 500 to 10,000 times the coin value.
Having entered the bonus feature via the prize discs you’ll be awarded 10 free spins. During these spins the prize elephants will appear on all five reels (as opposed to three in the base game) giving you many more chances of grabbing these extra prizes.
Instead of ‘free spins’ now appearing in the prize discs, you’ll find ‘extra spins’. Any time one of these is won you’ll be awarded with an additional 2 free spins to add to your total. This retrigger can happen again and again, with the maximum number of spins only capped at 250.
Elephant King features a 5×3 reel configuration with a set number of 40 win-lines which come at the cost of 75 credits per spin. Helping you on your way is a wild symbol showing a shield with two spears behind. This wild will substitute for any other symbol in the game apart from the prize elephant.
All of the symbols (including the wild) are stacked, giving you more chance of those big wins. The highest paying symbol is the elephant, which is worth 500 coins for the maximum five in a row, closely followed by the rhino, the zebra and the gazelle. Completing the pay table, you’ll find the four playing card suits in hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades.
The backdrop to Elephant King shows the African plains on a stormy day, with the sun just about breaking through the black clouds in the sky. This gives the scene a fiery glow, with the bare trees silhouetted against the angry sky.
Check out the soundtrack where you’ll hear an incredible array of animal noises all at once, all clearly reacting to impending storm. Check out the animation too whenever you land a win with any of the animal symbols – each coming to life on the reels.
IGT has designed an immersive and involving pokie in Elephant King. Just from the noise alone, you’ll know this is an all-action game. Stacked symbols mean you’ll be looking out for your standard wins as well as the unique prize disc awards. These prize discs either allow you to win big or to enter the free spins feature – you won’t be disappointed by either! During the free spins you’ll have more winning chances than ever and regular retriggers too, a high paying combination if ever there was one.
