The original Cash Bandits was a hit for RealTime Gaming, a fun game which was based around a bank heist, and the cops attempt to stop it. This has led to the introduction of a sequel, which has seen an upgrade of the visuals, the introduction of new symbols and even more potential rewards. Joining the cop and robber from the original game is now a terrified female bank teller and a wanted poster with the robber’s face on it – apparently you can earn a reward of $10,000 for catching him.
Cash Bandits 2 game features both two progressive jackpots and the opportunity to win an incredible feature. Here are the moments that will set your alarms ringing:
The scatter symbol features a close-up image of the robber. He looks pretty pleased with himself, as he holds two bags of money, while bank notes float in the air behind. Land 3, 4 or 5 of the masked robbers anywhere on the reels and you’ll grab an instant win of 2x, 20x or 50x your total stake. 3 or more scatter symbols also activates the Vault Feature.
In the first part of the feature your aim is to open as many vaults as possible, with the aim of adding to the initial 5 free spins and 2x multiplier. To open the vaults, you’ll enter numbers on a keypad, with each number unlocking part of a combination on a vault. You’ll win the following prizes based on the length of the combination:
In the original game, the largest reward was 50 free spins, while this sequel doubles the largest reward. It’s possible to unlock more than one vault, with the rewards adding up. For example, if you were to unlock the vaults with the 2-digit and 5-digit combinations, your initial 5 spins would be increased to 115 free spins (5 + 10 + 100), while the multiplier would increase to 9x (2 + 2 + 5).
The highest paying symbol in the game is the wild which features the title / logo symbol. Land five wilds in a row and you’ll pick up a win of 5,000 coins, while the wild will substitute for any other symbol on the reels. The wilds are stacked, meaning you can line up a series of wilds, leading to huge winning potential.
Big 4 figure wins come when you land 5 cops, bank tellers and bank symbols, while symbols such as handcuffs, money bags, the wanted poster, burglar alarms and a coffee/donut combination complete the pay table. In total, the game features 25 win-lines and plays out on a 5×3 grid configuration.
After any spin you can win one of the two progressive jackpots – Major or Minor. These are awarded completely at random, with a greater chance of winning, the higher your stake per spin.
Cash Bandit 2 plays out in front of the entrance to the bank, with 2 large pillars either side of the reels. The reels are framed in gold, with dollar bills all around the outside. Each of the symbols is designed in a cartoon style, adding a nice sense of humour to the proceedings, with the wild symbols animating to show more cash falling through the air. Compared to the original version, the graphics are much better in general.
If you enjoyed the original RTG game, you’ll certainly be drawn to this exciting sequel. While the overall format remains the same, the potential rewards are that much bigger in Cash Bandits 2. Crack the five-figure combination and you’re looking at an incredible spins/multiplier combination. With two progressive jackpots and the stacked wilds, a big win is always around the corner – just don’t run into that cop.
