State of Origin 2 Betting 2009

Mon, Jun 15, 3:44am by Kevin Pitstock

On the eve of the selection of the NSW team, we will take a look at the betting on State of Origin 2, 2009. NSW have run into all sorts of difficulties in yet another disappointing performance by both the team and selectors. It looks like there will be a host of changes before games 2 of the State of Origin begins in an attempt to rectify the position the Blues are in.

No matter how many changes they do or don’t make, there is no hiding that the Blues are in dire straits. They travel to Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane and will likely field yet another weak and inferior team. The Maroons will be all over the Blues, but don’t expect them to give up without a fight. NSW will make it tough, but with the home crowd and a wealth of options, QLD will be too strong.

The State of Origin betting market is reflecting exactly that. Sportsbet has QLD at $1.17 and noone wants to be on the Blues at $5.00. There is no value here, but where you can find some is on some of the different betting options on State of Origin 2.

We will keep you updated on whats going on in the betting on State of Origin 2009 when news and betting lines begin to take shape. We will have a much better idea once the teams are named tomorrow (Monday) night.

UPDATE: Here is the NSW State of Origin Team for Game 2

For now I suggest you check out IASBet which is a sportsbook that is going places in Australia.
