It was the More Joyous and Sepoy double that stripped bookies two weeks ago and Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said punters are stepping into his week’s Whobegotyou and Black Caviar double with the same vigor.
Sullivan said Sportingbet was betting a special price of $2.35 for the double and punters were knocking the door down to take it.
“We will have an enormous payout again if the two good things arrive and the way the money is coming, punters are super confident they will,” Sullivan said.
“The list of bets on the double just goes on and on and most punters are using it to build their bank tomorrow.”
Sullivan said favourite punters had filled up during the Autumn carnival with the likes of Black Caviar, More Joyous and Sepoy all undefeated and they were banking on that run continuing tomorrow.
“Black Caviar just looks a moral and even the $1.25 quote hasn’t slowed them down with big bet after big bet rolling in for her.
“She has never let punters down and punters who don’t normally take the short odds were more than happy to be taking $1.30 about her before Hay List’s scratching.
“She is now into $1.25 and punters just keep coming for her.
“Whobegotyou has been very heavily backed as well with two early straight bets of $10,000 arriving for him.”
