SunPoker $1 Million Guaranteed Tournament

Mon, Sep 7, 11:57am by Kevin Pitstock

SunPoker has announced that they will be running their first ever $1 million tournament. It will be on the 13th of September (early morning 14th for Aussies) and will have a $535 buy-in.

Satellites have been running for a little while now and start from as little as 44 cents. Once you gain entry you can expect softer competition than what you normally would at PokerStars of Full Tilt.

For those of you that don’t know, SunPoker is now on the iPoker network. Last year they moved form the smaller Cryptologic network. Since moving to the iPoker network SunPoker have seen growth by more than 50%.

Aussies have been swarming to play at SunPoker of late as well. We also have word that they will soon be focusing some of their marketing efforts on the Australia so look out for that.

If you haven’t played at SunPoker before or you haven’t seen the new look software then now is definitely the time to start. If you miss this $1 million tourney don’t be too worried because there is another one coming up as well. They have also just started a rake race that will we post about soon as well.
